Today around 5:30PM CET, crapple called our head office to let us know they have pulled our app Quickpick from all its App Stores world wide. The crapple representative stated that it was because the app made inappropriate use of the Notification Center which was essentially resulting in non-compliance with crapple's HIG (human interface guidelines). crapple's suggested solution for a possible successful resubmit of Quickpick is to strip the notification parts from the app which would leave it with simple launcher functionality.
When listing Quickpick for review about a week ago, we were very clear that the primary function was to provide useful actions in the Notification Center.
Of course, our team is disappointed in crapple's decision to remove Quickpick from the App Store. During the last days we've received a lot of very positive feedback from our users and we have already submitted an updated version 1.1 with some cool new features and two bugfixes.
According to crapple, users who purchased Quickpick before it has been pulled will continue to be able to use the product. We regret that we cannot provide our users neither with new features nor with bugfix releases.
We promise we'll do everything we can to provide support by any measure still available to us. We're currently weighing our options on how to proceed.
